Searching for signs of Spring ......

I'm desperately on the hunt for signs of spring. I found this GORGEOUS spring basket at the grocery store a couple of days ago. I LOVE the shape and color of the basket , and the plants and flowers ...... BEAUTIFUL !!! I didn't buy it since it was $35 which seemed kind of expensive to me ( but what do I know .....) HOWEVER , since this blogging bug bit me a year ago, I now take my camera just about every place I go.....(is this normal behavior?) ... and there I am sneakily taking pictures in the grocery store (since I didn't know if it was allowed .... I mean really, why on earth would anybody be taking pictures in a grocery store? ANYWAY, so there I am, waiting for the coast to be clear, looking guilty, then snapping a quick picture ...... (I really have to get a life!)

....So, I didn't get that pretty, but expensive spring basket, but I did get swayed by this springy stuff....
mmmmmmmm tulips and hyacinths !!! they smell heavenly/springy !!! ...... and that pretty wrapping paper !!! Now, truthfully, I don't NEED wrapping paper but I just bought it to look at! (again, I need to get a life!) .... and I rationalized those baskets with the delusion that I'll do something very crafty with them and give them away as gifts ....

.....OK, so once I step OUTSIDE of the grocery store or house, these are the only signs of spring I could come up with....

.....the fact that over the weekend it was just barely warm enough and sunny enough to hang some dish towels out on the clothesline to dry ....and, when I brushed some of the dead leaves away in the front yard,I found these little guys trying to find some spring sunshine .... OH! and a couple of days ago I saw some robins!!! I was driving home and saw some in the neighbor's yard .... I slowed down and attempted a drive by (photo)shooting, but the guy behind me was not amused ..... I thought about pulling over, getting out of the car and chasing those robins across people's yards to try and get a picture, but I figured why cause the neighbors to think I'm any more of a nutcase than they already think I am ..... and besides, blogging might not be allowed in jail......

.....Sooooo, I'm desperately trying to get my Spring/Easter groove on, but the weather guy is talking about "Cold temperatures and the chance for some snow showers" tomorrow ....... AND by the way .... I'm going to have to have a chat with who or what ever decides when the heck Easter is because the "Holiday Decorating Dept" here at MBIAJ is all in a snit because Easter is so DANG early this year!!!! ....and our MBIAJ "Wardrobe Dept" is going to have to try and figure out how to fit longjohns under their Easter outfits ...

Toodles,
Mary Anne (aka Mare)

Mare, I for one am so glad you take your camera everywhere. You are my never ending entertainment. I feel your pain on the spring thing. As I look out the window, I see little flakes falling from the sky. Really? Do we need snow every day in March? We know what winter is...we wont forget. Please weather fairy...give us some sunshine and warmth. I love the topical sound track. Sometimes I leave it on all day. Heres wishing you some springy happiness. Love Stacy

Thanks for the purty flowers. Please try not to get arrested with that camera of yours--we'd really miss you! Sending warm alohas and tropical breezes your way....

SPRING! Bring it on... I'm so ready! Although I can't complain... winter has been so much nicer here in PA than it has been in MA since I left there last Nov. But I'm ready... for spring... for warmth... for sunshine... Maybe I need to go finish up a bright springy quilt to use as a table topper... Yes... That would do it!

Get rabbits like I did , they multiply quicker than you can snap a carrot. I am totally discombobulated by Easter this year despite the bunnies.

Ahh Spring...you have more signs of it there then we do here in Iowa. sigh. It's nice to know it is coming, though.

It IS coming, right?!?
