Quilt Retreat Day 3

Well here we are on the 3rd and final day of the Quilt Retreat Weekend . Those of us who were up LATE last night at the PJ Party kind of slept in today .... then we had this lovely brunch ....

....wait , here's a close up...

......hmmmmm......English Breakfast Tea, 2 muffins and 4 dark chocolate marshmallow eggs .... breakfast of champions !!! (OK ... I only ate ONE muffin , which is LOW FAT, and ONE marshmallow egg , which is heart smart dark chocolate and fat free marshmallow .... how's that for rationalizing a crappy breakfast?!?)

.... wait, let me take a bite of one of those marshmallow eggs to show you how yummy they are !!!

.....YUMMMMMMMM!!!!!!

.....OK,OK .....ENOUGH ABOUT THE FOOD !!! This is a Quilt Retreat, NOT an eating retreat ..... sooooooo, here's what I worked on today .....

....this is a VERY belated birthday present for my youngest niece who turned 2 a month ago .....(the good thing is she's only 2 and really doesn't have a clue when or what her birthday is ..... PHEW !) Anyhow, I'm using one of the cute kid's apron patterns out of this Cindy Taylor Oates book. She really has some CUTE patterns!!!

....anyhow, so close and yet so far ..... I ALMOST finished the apron, BUT the clock is tick tock ticking and I must skeedadle to this place .....

......because the cupboards are bare and.... "the team" (i.e. my kids, Matt and Evan)

just got back from their first dirtbike race of the season and they're STARVING !!!(so I guess I better zip to the grocery store so I can feed them ....)

Well, it was a VERY FUN Quilt Retreat /PJ Party Weekend !!! Let's do it again sometime!!!

Toodles,
Mary Anne (aka Mare)

So glad you played along Mary Anne!!! Your breakfast looked mighty good. I ALMOST had cheetos.. saved them for afternoon snack instead.

Have to keep up the energy!

You are sooooo funny! Whenever I see your name now, I'm going to think of you with your blue sparkle mask and pigtails, groping blindly around your bathroom. This was hysterical! I've been by a few times to read it over and over again...I feel like I was at the party. Love all the projects you made and finished...and I hope you recuperate from your chocolatey breakfast soon--I got a sugar brain freeze just looking at all that stuff. Too funny! Loved it!! Can we do this every weekend?????

I'm with Lisa, I feel like I was right there partying with you. Those pics will keep me laughing for days. I'm trying to imagine what your orange haired boys were thinking while you were taking those pics of yourself. You guys must have a blast in that house. Thanks for letting me tag along! Happy St. Patty's Day!
