Hi everybody! Welcome to Day 2 of the Quilt Retreat / PJ Party !!! Tonight my theme is a combination "I LOVE LUCY" / St. Patrick's Day PJ Party. For our snacks I made some angel food cupcakes ....
......ummmmmm.....OK....so they didn't come out quite like the picture on the box ...
I think we can gussy them up with a little green icing and sprinkles for St. Patrick's Day and they'll be just fine .....
....there ! that's not so bad!
..I think I'll have one .....
.....not bad .... kind of like air with icing on it .... and fat free too! (at least the angel food cake part is ....)
......and note the "I Love Lucy" PJ's teamed with the Shamrock headband .... all in keeping with the "Lucy" / St.Patrick's Day theme....
....anyhow, these cupcakes are good, so if you want one, you'd better zip on over here! ..... AND, if you eat too many, we have plenty of this stuff ....
...it's supposed to be helpful if you "Poop out at parties...."
......and for our entertainment tonight ....."I Love Lucy" reruns !!!
....WOW ! The Mertz's and The Ricardo's seem pretty excited about the front page headlines .....
....apparently Mary Anne Drury has actually finished a project during Day 2 of the Quilt Retreat !!! Now that's NEWS !!! ..... and a picture of it made the FRONT PAGE !!! LOOK ......
.....Look again!
...This was my Valentine project (notice the "love note" with the antique key attached to it sticking out of the pocket ; and the word "Amore" ? all meant for a Valentine's Day project ..... yeah, well ...... NOT finished in time for Valentine's Day ...... so, no problem ..... as you may recall, we here at MBIAJ have a cracker jack "Holiday Blending Dept" ....and they have simply shoved a spring time sprig of fake flowers in the pocket along with the "love note", thus now qualifying this project as a "Spring " project ! TA DA !!!!
.....stay tuned for tomorrow's adventures here at the Quilt Retreat weekend!
....and now I must get my beauty sleep ..... this could take awhile!
Toodles,
Mary Anne (aka Mare)

Your project looks great. I like your blending of the seasons as well. The pj pics especially when you put on the sleeping mask...made me giggle! Had I read this sooner, I would have joined in the retreat!
Oh this is such a fun, fun, fun post. Please pass the Vitametavegamin, I could use some today! Looks like a fun time was enjoyed!
You are soooooooooooo funny!!! You really do know how to blend the holidays :St. Patricks Day, National Quilting Day, Valentines Day. Didn't you just take down your Christmas decorations? ROFL
Don't feel bad. One day my daughter's friend came over and she pointed out that I had several Easter decorations, a Christmas angel, and a 4th of July decoration decorating my family room. She didn't say anything about the Valentine quilt hanging behind my couch. I guess she was trying to be nice. LOL
The cupcakes look great.
