Good Saturday evening Blogland nieghborhood! You probably thought I fell off the edge of the planet since you haven't heard a peep out of me in almost a week ..... nope, no such luck .... I'm still here at Moonbeams Headquarters catching up , or trying to, from a busy week.....and you really didn't miss much .... nothing really exciting going on here ..... spent part of the day scrubbing soap scum and mildew out of the shower (and vowing, again that I will NOT let that go so long again ....YUCK! ...and vowing AGAIN that I really, really will keep up with it so it's not such a nightmare to clean when I finally get around to it)....after the shower cleaning fun, I jumped for joy as I did a few truck loads of laundry ..... and then topped off the excitement by sitting at my desk trying to keep my mind from wandering while catching up on work paperwork from last week.....
... my focus was supposed to be here......(note to self: get desk lamp fixed .... duct tape didn't work....)
.....but it kept wandering out the window.....(where the sky was BLUE and the leaves are all pretty and red and orange and yellow.....)
Let's see.....what else has been going on around here.....well, Daisy and Kitty have been at it again.....
....this time Kitty's REALLY pissed!! Just look at those mangled glasses!!! She'll be needing new ones now for sure!
Oh, and I did manage to squeeze in a teeny tiny (very teeny tiny) bit of sewing time to get started on .....
.....some fusible applique corner blocks of a certain quilt.....maybe tomorrow I'll actually get a minute to fuse them!
Alrighty, let's see what else .... oh! thanks so much for all of your ideas on what to do with the left over gigantic zucchini ..... which, I hate to report is still sitting in my fridge waiting patiently for me to do something with it .... I told it to take a number and wait it's turn.....
....and , thanks , as always for all of the comments on my last post about The Airing of the Quilts .... it really was a great outdoor quilt show and one I definately plan to go back to again next year! .... and the "Mother Earth and her Children" quilt .... what's not to love!?!?!!!
....and, as usual, I'm zipping in at the last minute to the giveaway over at Cute Stuff Inside Blog
mmmmmmmmMMMMMM!!! Look at all that chocolatey goodness!!! So, hurry and zip over there and enter the giveaway .... you still have a few days before the drawing!
OK, while I drag myself away from chatting with all of you to force myself to go finish that dang paperwork and laundry, I'll leave you with a little fall foliage from the neighborhood.....
Oh! Wait! One more thing.... speaking of fall foliage.... this weekend and the next 2 weekends are Fall Foliage Festival weekends here in Jim Thorpe, Pa!! As you can see, the foliage is cooperating this year! So, if you're in the area, you should come to the festival .... I heard the steam train tooting along near our house for the foliage excursions , and there are crafters in the park, and food, and all the shops are all dressed up in their autumn outfits! I'm planning on walking over tomorrow (the rest of the messy house can also take a number and wait it's turn, just like that rotting zucchini in the fridge.....) anyhow, if I go to the Fall Foliage Festival tomorrow, I'll take pictures and hopefully have a more interesting post than this one!
Be back soon!
Toodles,
Mary Anne (aka Mare)

Okay, I will grudgingly admit that the cold weather does have one stupendous advantage over sunny California - those fall colors. Magnificent!!!
It's beautiful there in PA. I miss PA this time of year. It's the only place I have ever lived that I could watch the seasons change right before my eyes.
You should go to the cottage house warming party, too. I think Cute Stuff Inside is there, too, or at least I saw her name in the guest book. I wrote a post about it today, so go check it out. It sounds like something you would do; it's very creative.

Oh my gosh...look at those trees, they are so beautiful! Lucky You!

I love your fall foliage picture. Our leaves here in Kansas are getting ready to turn, the sumac's are about the only red ones so far.
I read your blog quite often but don't think I've ever commented, usually I have a squirming two year old on my lap.
I loved the quilt tour and enjoy reading your blog.
Isn't housework exciting? NOT! I would be looking out the window at all that beauty, too!
"nothing really exciting going on here"... How can you say that??? For the last two nights I saw you on Dancing With The Stars doing the Jitterbug!!!!!
Lovin'. I'm mean LOVIN' all of your fall photos. Your photos made my inner harvest tingle. TINGLE!!!!
