Leprechauns OUT ..... Easter stuff IN ......

Well happy Easter week Blogland Neighborhood! Like every single other holiday on the calendar, this one has crept up on the MBIAJ Decorating Dept. So, they quickly put away the left over leprechauns (and a rotting pumpkin or two) and decided they could at least get the table looking a little more Easter-ish ....


....so they scribbled out a drawing and scrounged up some spring colored wool felt...



....and did some cutting and trimming ....


.....and will eventually pass it off to the MBIAJ Sewing Dept to do some stitching (not done yet, of course!).....




....to make some new fun candle mats !

(which are removed during mealtime since we have a bunch of sloppy eaters here at MBIAJ Headquarters .... picture pigs and a trough in the barnyard......)

High Hopes (i.e. Delusions of Grandeur) for the Friday NIght Sew In.....

Happy first day of Spring Blogland Neighborhood !!!! It was another gorgeous day here in Pa ....brought all of the animals out of hibernation .... including this bear....


...who happily agreed to model this (finally completed backpack)....


....which was started (and not completed) at last month's Friday Night Sew In and .... in addition to finishing the backpack ...



....that cracker jack MBIAJ Sewing Dept actually got a second project started (but not finished, of course...) OH WELL ! We had such high hopes (better known as Delusions of Grandeur) to accomplish much more sewing this weekend but we were delayed in getting started because .....



....we couldn't find the cutting table underneath that mess and THEN......


....we had to send out a search party to find the ironing board ....







Well, the MBIAJ Sewing Dept has HIGH HOPES of being much more organized for next month's Friday Night Sew In !

Spring is springing !!!

Well happy sunny afternoon Blogland Neighborhood! We have been having a beautiful stretch of weather here in Pa! As you can see...



.....spring is springing (it's a little too early to say "Spring has Sprung" ....








.....so we'll just be happy to see the beginnings here and there of "Spring Springing" ....








...which also inspired the Drawing Dept to switch to light and airy spring colored pencils for today's therapeutic doodling .....(happy sigh .....)

Hope you're having some "Spring Springing" where you are !

(OH! and I just realized the Friday Night Sew In for March is tomorrow night! PHEW ! Just in time ! The Sewing Dept could use all the friendly peer pressure it can get to get some of these projects to MOVE ALONG !!! We suggested that the next Friday Night Sew In could be a LOCK DOWN affair with an armed SWAT Team standing guard for those of us who tend to procrastinate and piddle around !!!)

Miss O' Kitty's St Patrick's Day/Week Celebration

Happy St. Patrick's Week Blogland Neighborhood! Everyone is Irish on St Patrick's Day .... so Kitty is insisting on being referred to as Miss O'Kitty this week. Well, Miss O'Kitty decided to don her tam o'shanter and matching sash and head out for some St. Patrick's Day festivities .....



..first she went to a local pub where she did some dancing and ....


...some drinking from a jug and ....


...listened to the playing of a jig or two ....



..then headed over to barge her way into the local parade (she must think she's the Grand Marshall). Good thing everybody's had a few green beers and they don't seem to mind .... phew!

So..... Happy St Pat's ! and top o' the mornin' to ya!

Procrastinating during National Procrastination Week

Happy sunny Sunday Blogland Neighborhood! Did you know there is a "National Procrastination Week" (March 1st --> 7th) ? Well there is .... we found it listed here and feel they over looked us as the reigning champs of procrastination!!! (We even procrastinated to the last day of National Procrastination Week to observe this "holiday")





Here is just one of the many "To Do Lists" we have sitting around waiting to be whittled away at (this is just the sewing/project to do list .... aka the fun list) ... the not so fun "To Do Lists" (of the household chores and day job variety that get in the way of the before mentioned much more fun "To Do List") are not pictured here to save you all from complete boredom .....ANYHOW all of these lists have made us come to this conclusion : The length of one's "To Do List" is directly proportionate to the degree of one's procrastination ! .... i.e. the more stuff that keeps adding up on the "To Do Lists" leaves us .....





...completely overwhelmed and drooling in front of the tv set!













We know, of course, that there are many many bloggers out there in Blogland who do not fall into the above mentioned category of "Professional Procrastinators" ..... people who get the job done (on time and beautifully I might add) .... one of these people who falls into the "job beautifully done and on time category" is Gina from
Taffeta Moon ..... look what she made for me !!!....




.....this fun sun catcher !!!! I was one of the winners in her "One World One Heart" blog give away and she custom made this for me to hang in my pink sewing room window !! I just LOVE it !!! THANK YOU GINA !!!!






OK ..... time to throw the many "To Do Lists" up in the air and which ever one lands face up is the one we're going to start on next .....maybe ....
